Greg Heffernan, Executive Director, Development & Marketing Greg Heffernan currently runs Aum International, a division of Lang/Pan/Chan Public Relations, a strategic media relations and international marketing firm at the Biltmore Tower in Los Angeles. As director of Aum International Greg oversees development projects for studio, network and cable programming along with marketing strategies for various clients and client brands. Greg has an extensive background with entertainment companies as a former marketing director for Everest Film Productions and as a former Vice President of Development for Brookwell/McNamara Entertainment, which created among many feature and television programs Even Stevens and That’s So Raven for the Disney Channel.At LPC Greg also helps create strategic marketing campaigns for various clients to position product branding to key US domestic and international markets. Greg also represents clients in the IT sector, film and television entertainment, as well as the content delivery and mobile unit arena. Greg’s Aum International is a key player in Asian and South Asian market strategies for LPC, which cover a wide range of diverse product and travel programs. Greg is also responsible for writing and editing of press releases and developing strategic marketing strategies for domestic and international projects for LPC. With new offices in Shanghai and Beijing, Greg assists LPC with numerous project developments for clients wishing to take advantage of the many opportunities in China’s expanding economy. Current clients of LPC and Aum International include the Walt Disney Company, HSBC Bank, Comerica Bank, the County of Los Angeles, Nestle Foods, the Hong Kong Tourism Board and ThinkMobile. In addition to his responsibilities at LPC, Greg is a contributing editor and special correspondent for India Post Magazine, a subsidiary of Post Media Group. At IP Greg is a frequent international reporter for political and cultural affairs as well as business and entertainment. Over the years Greg has interviewed numerous celebrities along with government and national leaders in the US and India. Greg has also been a contributing feature writer for Hollywood Variety Magazine, St. Anthony Messenger Press, and a public service correspondent for CBS Radio affiliates. He has been a popular Southern California Indian restaurant reviewer, and a travel correspondent for destinations in Europe and South Asia. He brings with him a variety of experience assisting Indian businesses in various stages of development and growth, particularly in the restaurant, IT, and entertainment sector. Last year, Greg edited and co-authored the book AIDS In India – How the Nation is Battling the Deadly Disease with Dr. Krishna Reddy, founder of the Indian American Friendship Council which sponsors the Indian Caucus in Washington DC with over 180 US Congressional members. As a screenwriter Greg penned the 2001 film Monsoon starring Matt McCoy (LA Confidential), Richard Tyson (Black Hawk Down), and Gulshan Grover (My Bollywood Bride), an action/romance filmed on location in Goa, India. In 2005 Greg produced and directed The Saints of India an educational documentary for secondary schools on St. Thomas and St. Francis Xavier filmed on location in Kerala, Madras and Goa. A graduate of Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, Greg is a board member and co-founder of Earthdiary Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to the rehabilitation of juveniles “at risk” through adult mentoring in Los Angeles County. He and his wife Cheryl, a native of Mumbai, India, reside in Los Angeles with their daughter, Racquelle, and their son, Michael.
Cheryl Heffernan brings a vast experience of public relations to Aum International for the American Indo-American community. As a native of Bandra, Bombay she has served as customer service representative in the international airline field as well as in the hospitality business in the metropolitan city of Bombay. She has been a consultant for the Mumbai motion picture industry on several productions as well as been a chief executive in the US for AstroVision Network Solutions based in Kerala, India. As a former advertising sales executive for India Post Magazine she handled motion picture ads for MGM and The Walt Disney Company. Cheryl is currently developing several projects with Canvas Productions in the US who are partnered with Maruti International Pictures in Mumbai India, one of Bollywood’s top production groups with over 25 years of experience starring top Bollywood talent including Aamir Khan, Sanjay Dutt, Javed Jaffrey, Shilpa Shetty, Laura Dutta and Maduri Dixit, Therefore, growing up in Bombay, Bollywood is second nature and not new to her. Cheryl speaks English, German, Hindi, Konkani, and understands Marathi and Gujarati. |
